543 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 285 recoveries

There is one new death to report today. The provincial total is now at 639.

There are 543 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 19, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (149), North Central (70), North West (64), North East (48), Regina (47), Central East (28), Far North West (26), South East (26), South West (24), South Central (19), Far North East (15), and Central West (8).

Eleven of the 19 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Nineteen cases are pending residence information.

Over one-third (34.1 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 years and under age category.

According to the provincial government, of the new cases today, 440 individuals were unvaccinated, 19 were partially vaccinated, and 84 were fully vaccinated. Of the 440 unvaccinated people, 132 are children between the ages of 0 and 11.

Thirty previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to the North East (8), Far North East (7), North Central (6), Regina (4), Far North West (2), North West (1), Saskatoon (1), and Central East (1) zones.

There are now 62,101 reported cases, including 4,586 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 484 (40.2 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 4,522 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,520,086.

There are 249 people in hospital. One hundred and ninety-four people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (76), Regina (28), North West (27), North Central (23), South West (10), North East (8), Far North West (7), South East (5), Central East (4), Central West (3), and South Central (3). Fifty-five people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (23), Regina (12), North Central (7), South Central (4), North West (3), Central East (3), and South West (3).

Of the 249 patients, 190 (76.3 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Two hundred and eighty-five more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 56,876 recoveries.

There were 3,911 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,090,734 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
