499 COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 397 recoveries

There is one new death to report today. The provincial total is now at 638.

There are 499 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 18, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (107), North Central (76), Regina (62), North West (59), Far North East (31), South East (26), North East (25), South Central (25), Far North West (21), South West (12), Central West (10), Central East (9), and Far North Central (1).

Twenty of the 25 new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-five cases are pending residence information.

Almost two-fifth (36.5 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 years and under age category.

One in ten (9.2 per cent) new cases were fully vaccinated.

Twenty-two previously reported cases with pending residence information were reassigned to the North Central (5), North West (4), Regina (4), Saskatoon (3), North East (2), Far North West (1), Far North East (1), Central East (1), and South East (1) zones.

Six repeated cases were removed to the case counts in the Far North East (2), Central West (1), Regina (1) zones and from two pending residence locations.

There are now 61,558 reported cases, including 4,329 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 467 (38.7 new cases per 100,000). 

An additional 4,251 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,515,564.

There are 228 people in hospital. One hundred and seventy-seven people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (72), North West (26), North Central (23), Regina (22), North East (8), Far North West (7), South West (6), South East (6), Central East (3), Central West (2), and South Central (2). Fifty-one people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (22), Regina (11), North Central (5), South Central (5), Central East (3), South West (3), and North West (2).

Of the 228 patients, 172 (75.4 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Three hundred and ninety-seven more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 56,591 recoveries.

There were 4,468 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,086,823 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
