449 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths reported, 414 recoveries

There are four new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 625.

There are 449 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 13, 2021. That is a new one-day high in the province  

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (105), North West (102), North Central (43), Far North West (40), North East (38), Far North East (19), Regina (13), South East (11), South West (11), Central East (9), South Central (9), and Central West (6).

Five of the nine new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Forty-three cases are pending residence information.

Over one-third (35 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 years and under age category.

According to the government, of the new cases reported today, 387 were not vaccinated, 14 were partially vaccinated, and 48 were fully vaccinated.

Ten cases with pending location were assigned to the Far North East (4), North Central (2), Saskatoon (2), Far North West (1), and South Central (1) zones.

One Saskatchewan resident tested out-of-province has been added to the case counts in the Saskatoon zone.

There are now 59,165 reported cases, including 3,776 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 377 (31.3 new cases per 100,000). 

A total of 12,461 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,835), Saskatoon (2,196), South East (1,158), South Central (894), North West (883), North Central (668), Central East (655), South West (416), Far North West (339), Central West (149), Far North East (100), North East (87), and Far North Central (4). There are 77 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 1,494 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,502,720.

There are 209 people in hospital. One hundred and sixty-eight people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (68), North Central (35), North West (26), Regina (15), North East (5), South Central (5), South East (5), Far North West (3), Central East (3), and South West (3). Forty-one people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (20), Regina (7), North Central (6), North West (3), South West (3), and Central East (2).

Of the 209 patients, 162 (77.5 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Four hundred and fourteen more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 54,764 recoveries.

There were 3,110 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,066,050 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
