432 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death reported, 273 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (93), North West (77), North Central (69), Regina (31), Far North West (22), Far North East (20), South East (20), North East (18), Central East (18), Central West (10), South Central (8), Far North Central (4), and South West (4), with 38 cases pending residence information

There is one new death to report today. The provincial total is now at 617.

There are 432 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on September 10, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Saskatoon (93), North West (77), North Central (69), Regina (31), Far North West (22), Far North East (20), South East (20), North East (18), Central East (18), Central West (10), South Central (8), Far North Central (4), and South West (4).  

Five of the eight new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Thirty-eight cases are pending residence information.

Over one-third (34.3 per cent) of new cases are in the 19 years and under age category.

According to the government, of the new cases reported today, 363 were not vaccinated, 26 were partially vaccinated, and 43 were fully vaccinated.

Thirty-six previously reported cases with pending location were assigned to the North Central (21), North West (7), South East (4), North East (2), Saskatoon (1), and Central East (1) zones.

One case was a repeat test and removed from the North West zone.

There are now 57,952 reported cases, including 3,573 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 366 (30.4 new cases per 100,000). 

A total of 12,461 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,835), Saskatoon (2,196), South East (1,158), South Central (894), North West (883), North Central (668), Central East (655), South West (416), Far North West (339), Central West (149), Far North East (100), North East (87), and Far North Central (4). There are 77 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 2,856 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,495,955.

There are 190 people in hospital. One hundred and fifty-one people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (67), North Central (35), North West (18), Regina (11), Central East (5), South East (5), North East (4), Far North West (3), South West (2), and South Central (1), Thirty-nine people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (20), North Central (8), Regina (6), North West (2), South West (2), and Central East (1).

Of the 190 patients, 148 (77.9 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Two hundred and seventy-three more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 53,762 recoveries.

There were 3,750 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 1,055,858 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
