Canada Summer Games Sunday: Saskatchewan strikes gold in diving on final day of 2025 Games

Team Saskatchewan caps Games with 13 gold, 14 silver, 21 bronze for 48 medals

ST. JOHN’S -- It was a relatively quiet Sunday for Team Saskatchewan on the final day of competition in the 2025 Canada Summer Games, but it seemed only fitting they’d pick up one more medal to wrap up an incredible second week.

The team of Regina’s Lila Stewart, Saskatoon’s Cash Tarasoff and Regina’s Isa Koop took first place and claimed the gold medal in the Diving Mixed Team Event for Saskatchewan’s final medal of the Games.

All told, Team Sask finishes with 13 gold, 14 silver and 21 bronze for 48 medals, finishing in sixth place on the Medal Table. No less than 44 of those medals were won in Week 2 of the Games.

Here’s a look at how things went for Saskatchewan in the final events from the 2025 Canada Summer Games:

Artistic Swimming

Saskatchewan records 215.697 points in the technical routine and 364.050 points in the acrobatic routine to finish in fourth place in the team competition.

Athletics

Men’s Pole Vault: Saskatoon’s Ashwin Witt clears 4.30 metres and finishes in sixth place. Saskatoon’s Josh Tam clears 4.15 metres and finishes in seventh place.

Men’s Lacrosse

Saskatchewan falls 6-2 to New Brunswick and finishes in eighth place.

New Brunswick took a 1-0 lead out of the first period and led 4-2 through two.

Saskatoon’s Easton Louma picked up a goal and assist for Saskatchewan, while Carnduff’s Kaleb Crossman had their other marker. Prince Albert’s Chase Lehner added two assists.

Mountain Bike 

Regina’s Isaac McMurray finishes in 24th place in the Men’s Mountain Bike Sprint.

Diving 

Regina’s Lila Stewart, Saskatoon’s Cash Tarasoff and Regina’s Isa Koop -- all medalists earlier in the Games -- combine forces to record 432.35 points and win gold in the Mixed Team Event. 

Saskatoon’s Casey Spilchak, Black Point’s Anika Park, Regina’s Finlee Sharp and Regina’s Freddie Moffat finish with 368.25 points and in sixth place.

Women’s Soccer

Saskatchewan takes a 6-0 win over Yukon and finishes in ninth place.

Regina’s Neko Michel scored a natural hat trick in the first half, with her goals coming in the 14th minute, 20th minute and 40th minute as Saskatchewan took a 3-0 lead into halftime. Saskatoon’s Calla Zimmer scored in the 59th and 66th minutes to make it 5-0 and Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation’s Emily Pegg scored in the 73rd to cap scoring for Team Sask.

Sydney Deibert picked up the clean sheet in goal.

Men’s Volleyball

Saskatchewan falls 16-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-22 to New Brunswick and finish in sixth place.

Women’s Volleyball

Saskatchewan defeats Manitoba 25-22, 15-25, 25-19, 13-25, 15-11 to win the bronze medal.
