When the Moose Jaw Warriors headed out on their U.S. Division road swing as the Scotties Tournament of Hearts took over Mosaic Place, everyone know they were going to find some tough games in the process.

And as it turns out, that’s exactly what’s happened.

The Warriors dropped a 5-2 decision to the Seattle Thunderbirds in Western Hockey League action on Tuesday and followed with a 6-0 loss to the Everett Silvertips on Wednesday night.

The two losses saw the Warriors cap the swing with an 0-5 record, leaving the local squad with a 12-38-4-0 mark, four points ahead of last-place Swift Current and now winless in their last 12 (0-10-2-0).

In Seattle, goaltender Brock Gould put on a show and landed the game’s second star after putting together a 49-save performance in the losing effort.

The Warriors looked to back him up in the early going, too, as Eric Alarie scored his sixth of the year three minutes into the game and was followed by Kyle Crosbie early in the second to give the Tribe a 2-0 lead.

That would be the last good news other than Gould, as Andrej Kukuca scored twice and Max Patterson added an insurance goal before Kukuca completed the hat trick with an empty net goal.

Conner Roulette scored Seattle’s first marker.

The Warriors had 21 shots on Thunderbirds goaltender Ross Roddy.

Moose Jaw came out like a team that had been on the road for a week the next night, managing only 10 shots on goal – including a single shot in the first as the Warriors were outshot 15-1.

Dustin Wolf was the recipient of the light workload, earning the shutout in the Silvertips net.

Ty Kolle scored twice for Everett, Dawson Butt, Michal Gut, Wyatte Wylie and Jacob Wright added single markers.

The Warriors close out the trip in Friday in Lethbridge and will have a week off following, with next home action on Friday, Feb. 28 against the Swift Current Broncos at Mosaic Place.
