MOOSE JAW — The City of Moose Jaw advises that temporary lane restrictions will be in place at a number of locations around Moose Jaw for pre-cleaning work necessary for the 2025 Cured In Place Pipe (CIPP) Sewer Lining Program from Sept. 4 through 6.
The city’s contractor will be completing pre-cleaning work requiring lane restrictions for the following locations and dates:
- MacDonald Street on Sept. 4 – From 5th Avenue NW to 4th Avenue NW
- Main Street N on Sept. 4 and 5 – From MacDonald Street to Saskatchewan Street E
- 16th Avenue SW on Sept. 5 and 6 – From Coteau Street W to Vaughan Street
No full road closures or detours are anticipated for this work. Traffic speed will be reduced to 30 km/h in work zones. The city reminds the public to follow all temporary signage for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
There are no anticipated impacts to Transit services.
Properties impacted by the work will receive notification on their doors including the date and time that their sewer service connection will be temporarily sealed off. During this period, they are directed not to undertake any tasks that require running water (for example, washing clothes or dishes, bathing or showering, or flushing toilets.)
Sewer lining work is expected to commence in mid- Sept. and last into October and will be scheduled after pre-cleaning work is completed.
