Sometimes you just can't win

A tree branch fell on top of a vehicle parked on the east side of the city
fallen tree limb on car aug 2021
One of those days — a tree limb fell across a car last night near the intersection of Ross Street East and 1st Avenue NE.

Just after midnight a resident who lives near the intersection of Ross St. East and First Avenue NE had a surprise as a large tree limb from a city-owed elm tree cracked and fell on top of his car.

The Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS), as well as a city worker, attended the scene which had the street blocked off. as the tree limb made the street impassable.

It is unknown what the extent of the damages, if any, were to the vehicle at publication time. Nobody was harmed in the incident.

There was nobody from the city available at the late hour to comment on why the limb fell on the resident’s car, which was parked legally at the time of the incident on the residential street.

However it should be noted that Moose Jaw has been in an extended drought and there were strong winds during a major portion of the day, which may have contributed in the limb falling.
