Police lobby closed, residents asked to call ahead

The office remains opens, but you will need to phone ahead before the police can determine how to assist you

Anyone who needs to stop by the police station will now need to call ahead.

In a press release, the Moose Jaw Police Service states that, effective immediately, the station's lobby has been temporarily closed to the public.

The move was made in order to be consistent with other government health agencies and police services, the release added.

You can still get assistance, but you will need you will need to call first by phoning 306-694-7600. This will allow the police to assess your needs so that any necessary arrangements can be made.

The office remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

There are no changes being made to the 911 emergency response system.
