The Moose Jaw Tommy Guns will be hosting the Saskatchewan Field Lacrosse League this Saturday.
If everything goes according to plan for the Moose Jaw Tommy Guns this weekend in Saskatchewan Field Lacrosse League action, not only will home-field advantage lead to three big wins for the local squad, they’ll find themselves holding down first place.

The Tommy Guns will act as the host team for MJLAX Fest at the 1996 Canada Games Field this Saturday, with four teams from the six-team, province-wide league taking part in the event.

Moose Jaw heads into the series of games with a 3-3 record through the first two weekends of competition, one win back of first-place Sturgis 9-1-1 and the Prince Albert Prairie Dogs.

During the opening weekend on Aug, 28 in Sturgis, the Tommy Guns won one of three, falling 8-6 to Regina Southern Comfort and taking a 6-5 win over the Yorkton Olden Knights before losing another close one 6-3 to the Saskatoon Plainsmen.

At the Bridge City Brawl last weekend in Saskatoon things went far better for the local squad with a pair of commanding wins, as they rolled to an 11-6 victory over Sturgis and hammered the Plainsmen 11-2.

The Tommy Guns will be looking for much of the same this weekend as they host Regina Southern Comfort (2-1) at 10 a.m., followed by the Yorkton Olden Knights (1-2) at 2:30 p.m. and Sturgis 9-1-1 (4-2) at 5:30 p.m.
