The Town of Lumsden is currently in the midst of final-four voting for the prestigious contest, with the rewards well known: $250,000 in arena upgrades for the winning community, as well as the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game. The runners up will receive $25,000 each.
Lumsden — a community of 2,000 people located 45 minutes northeast of Moose Jaw on Highway 11 — is looking to expand and improve their dressing rooms in the Lumsden Community Sports Centre in order to offer better support to girls hockey.
Their attempt to become the first Hockeyville team in the province comes on the heels of Pense’s dynamic run last year, Wilkie’s near miss in 2019 and Lafleche reaching the final four in 2018.
So here’s how you help Lumsden out.
