Ingalls, 19, currently plays for the Saskatchewan SWAT in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League Junior ‘A’ division, the highest level of lacrosse available in the country for the age group.
The former Moose Jaw Mustangs standout took part in the Saskatchewan regional combine this past January and was reported to have had an impressive camp, with that performance directly factoring into his return to the 40-man roster.
His selection to the team will be based on availability, much like the situation with the NHL playoffs and world hockey championships, where players become available as teams are eliminated from the playoffs. With the World Juniors taking place in the middle of the RMLL and CLL playoffs, the pool will shrink and grow depending on when teams are eliminated.
The final 23-player roster will be named in July.
Ingalls is currently third in scoring with the league-leading 7-2 SWAT, having scored nine goals and 21 points in six games. He has committed to NCAA Division II Lander University for the coming season.
