SuperGrid Screening

The guys who brought you the popular film, WolfCop, are at it again. SuperGrid is a post-apocalyptic film that was produced by Moose Jaw’s Hugh Patterson. A special screening of the film will be held at the Mae Wilson Theatre at 7:30 p.m. tonight, along with a special Q&A. Everyone is then invited to Cask 82 to join the cast and crew in an after party. Please note the film does feature strong violence, gore, and language.

Robbie Burns Celebrations

Looking for a wee bit of fun this weekend? Bugsy’s is hosting an all-day Robbie Burns celebration on Friday. Select Scotch is just $4, tax included! The Moose Jaw and District Senior Citizens Association is also hosting a Robbie Burns night on Saturday at Timothy Eaton Garden. Doors open at 5:30 with the Toast to Haggis at 6:15 p.m., followed by supper and entertainment. Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children 5-12 years of age.

A Musical Celebration of the Women of the ‘60s

It will be a nostalgic evening featuring some of the best music of all time; Brenda Lee Cottrell and the Legends will be performing at the Mae Wilson Theatre on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. This popular show features the music of Lesley Gore, Patsy Cline, Petula Clark, Connie Francis, and all your favourite legendary ladies of the ‘60s!  Contact the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre for tickets by calling 306-693-4700 or visiting the box office.

High Tea and Family Karaoke Night at Hopkin’s Dining Parlour

Hopkins is hosting a family karaoke night on Saturday at 7 p.m. They will then offer high tea on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. The cost is $19.99 per person and spots are limited. For more information, call 306-692-5995.

Burger Night at the Legion

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 59 will be hosting a Build Your Own Burger fundraiser on Saturday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The meal features a half-pound pure beef patty on a Maple Leaf Bakery bun and comes with one pound of fresh-cut fries and all the fixings. Tickets are $20 each and are available at the Legion office. You also have a chance to win a portable BBQ! Call 306-692-5453 for more information. All proceeds will go towards Legion renovations.
