Eighth annual charity curling memorabilia auction starts today

Funds raised will support the Sandra Schmirler Foundation

If you attended the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts here in Moose Jaw and want to own a piece of memorabilia from the event, now is your chance.

The Sandra Schmirler Foundation’s eighth annual curling auction begins today, as of 12 p.m. EDT.

Up for grabs will be several signed skip jerseys from the Scotties. Players/teams include:

  • Laura Walker, Team Alberta 
  • Corryn Brown, Team British Columbia
  • Andrea Crawford, Team New Brunswick
  • Kerry Galusha, Team Northwest Territories
  • Mary-Anne Arsenault, Team Nova Scotia
  • Rachel Homan, Team Ontario
  • Suzanne Birt, Team Prince Edward Island
  • Noémie Verreault, Team Quebec
  • Hailey Birnie, Team Yukon

Other auction items include a National Team jacket from the Ford 2006 Women's World Curling Championships and "Clean Sweep '94," a numbered print signed by Marcia Gudereit, Joan McCusker, Jan Betker, Sandra Peterson, and Anita Ford.

All proceeds will go to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation, which provides funding to neonatal care facilities across Canada to save the lives of “babies born too small, too soon, too sick.”

The auction ends on Sept. 2nd at 12 p.m. EDT.
