125 new COVID-19 cases, 22 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: North Central (21), Saskatoon (18), Far North East (15), South Central (15), South East (14), Far North West (12), Regina (7), North West (4), North East (4), Central East (4), South West (4), Far North Central (2), and Central West (1), with four cases pending residence information

There are 125 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 13, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: North Central (21), Saskatoon (18), Far North East (15), South Central (15), South East (14), Far North West (12), Regina (7), North West (4), North East (4), Central East (4), South West (4), Far North Central (2), and Central West (1).

All 15 of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Four cases are pending residence information.

One previously reported case with pending residence information was assigned to the North West zone.

Three cases deemed to be non-Saskatchewan residents were removed from the South Central (1) and pending location (2) counts.

There are now 51,034 reported cases, including 893 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 98 (8.1 new cases per 100,000). 

There are no additional deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 586.

A total of 12,404 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,836), Saskatoon (2,168), South East (1,157), South Central (892), North West (877), Central East (654), North Central (652), South West (417), Far North West (338), Central West (150), Far North East (90), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 82 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 2,539 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,441,816.

There are 73 people in hospital. Sixty-four people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (29), North Central (16), Regina (9), Central West (2), North West (2), South East (2), South Central (2), Far North West (1), and North East (1). Nine people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (4), North Central (2), Regina (2), and North West (1). Of the 73 patients, 54 (74 per cent) are not fully vaccinated.

Twenty-two more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 49,555 recoveries.

There were 2,195 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 982,596 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
