141 new COVID-19 cases, 2 deaths reported, 28 recoveries

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North East (29), Far North West (19), Saskatoon (18), South East (17), South West (15), North Central (9), North West (8), South Central (7), Central East (6), North East (5), Far North Central (2), Regina (2), and  Central West (1), with three cases pending residence information

There are two new deaths to report today. The provincial total is now at 586.

There are 141 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 12, 2021. 

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North East (29), Far North West (19), Saskatoon (18), South East (17), South West (15), North Central (9), North West (8), South Central (7), Central East (6), North East (5), Far North Central (2), Regina (2), and  Central West (1).

Six of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

Three cases are pending residence information.

Two cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North West (1) and Central East (1) zones.

There are now 50,912 reported cases, including 793 active cases.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 93 (7.7 new cases per 100,000). 

A total of 12,396 Variants of Concern have been identified by screening in Saskatchewan, reported in the following zones: Regina (4,836), Saskatoon (2,167), South East (1,156), South Central (892), North West (877), Central East (654), North Central (647), South West (417), Far North West (338), Central West (150), Far North East (90), North East (86), and Far North Central (4). There are 82 screened VOCs with residence pending.

An additional 2,755 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,439,277.

There are 69 people in hospital. Fifty-eight people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (23), North Central (14), Regina (11), Central West (3), North West (2), South East (2), Far North West (1), North East (1), and South Central (1). Eleven people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (4), North Central (3), Regina (3), and North West (1).

Twenty-eight more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 49,533 recoveries.

There were 2,279 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan. To date, 980,401 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
