Mother nature may rise up again this spring and flood the valley like it has done many times before including this proposed development site, perhaps that will knock some sense into City Council members, whomever is voted in this upcoming election. The residents who oppose this ridiculous development and changing of the OCP should keep in mind which council members are supporting this and not vote for them.

Stop destroying Wakamow Valley with development and leave it sustainable for the wildlife which it was meant to be. Development of this scale will ruin our beautiful valley .
Leave South Hill be, take away 4 community schools, mow down the valley for disc golf and now a whole subdivision right by the river...We on the South Hill who love our peaceful natural valley need to stand up and fight back against these encroachments. All this is against the Wakamow Authority mandate of Sustainability.

the killing of this majestic animal could have been avoided and the excuse for not tranquilizing it is lame at best, the question is did the conservation officer know how to tranquilize a cougar and or trap it, or was it just easier to say it was too dangerous to do so and let the police kill it?
