Milosav (Mike) Zirojevich passed away peacefully at his home on June 12, 2021 in Moose Jaw, SK. Mike was born in 1950 in Nevesinje, Yugoslavia (which is now Montenegro). The oldest of the 10 children in his family. He had fond memories of playing soccer with his brothers, a skill he passed on to his grandkids. He enjoyed boxing in his younger years and was a member of the Army. He learned to be a butcher at age 12 and continued this trade all his life. He immigrated to Canada in 1972 and quickly became a citizen. He was proud to call Canada his new home. Though he missed his parents and siblings who remained in his birth country. His friends were anyone who he met. Always willing to listen and make you feel at ease. Mike loved learning about people and was very social. People were drawn to his warm easygoing nature. Mike was constantly making sure everyone around him was well fed. Meals often had more than one meat choice offered with a variety of sides. You were always well taken care of by him. If you saw Mike, Sharon was close by his side. The love of his life was rarely apart from him. Their love was filled with romance even up until his last days with her. They spent many days together laughing, cooking, entertaining and gardening. Family was at the center of his life. Mike adored his grandkids. He was a tough man with huge strong hands. But that never stopped him from playing tea party, beauty parlor and hair salon with his granddaughters. He always had time for swimming, kayaking, tubing on the lake, biking, and playing crib and Uno with them. His energy was endless, and no request was denied to a child who asked grandpa to play. His deep laugh and wide smile were his trademark approach to life. He loved every day. His sense of humour never faded and continued to provide his family with endless laughs. Left to mourn him are his wife Sharon Harper, sons, Seann (Kawna) Cam Harper, Marko Zirojevich (Shannon & family); Daughter, Shannon Harper (Jamie Monteyne); Grandchildren, Stephan, Shae-Ann, Katelynn, April-Lynn, Kennedy & Kaylee; Great grandchildren, Logan & Lincoln; Brother’s,  Mitar, Bosko, Dragan, Zoran,  Ranko, Obrad; and sister, Vasna. He was predeceased by his father Jovan and mother Jovanka, brothers Savo & Borivoje. We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who cared for Mike during his time battling cancer. At Mike’s request no public service will be held a private family memorial will be held in his honour. In living memory of, Milosav, a memorial planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
