The family of Robert Puddell is saddened to announce his passing on May 15, 2019, just a month shy of his 88th birthday. Bob grew up in the Tuxford district and farmed there for 55 years until his retirement in 2008. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Loretta, and their children: Barb (Rod), Allan (Cory), Betty (Peter), Dave (Terri) and Brenda; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his favorite niece Marilyn.

I farmed the land.

I tramped the weed.

These things I understood.

No grand schemes, they passed me by.

I knew the brook, the hills, the sky.

To hunt a bird, to wet a line.

Gifts from God, so good and fine.

Friend and kin, I loved them so.

Although I'm gone, I'm sure they know.

I am now at peace, life's battle done,

I've faced the foe and I have won.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers or cards, memorials to the Wolfe Stroke Unit Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Stars Ambulance, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. In living memory of Bob, a memorial tree planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services. Please see our online book of condolences at www.parkviewfuneralchapel.ca and www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries). Blair Scott, Funeral Director.
