It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father Heinz on June 27, 2021 with this family by his side. Dad was born on October 11, 1931, in Germany to Alwin and Julien Koch. He immigrated to Canada on November 20, 1951 at the age of 20. He met mom while working in the Estevan area and they married on November 21, 1953. Later they moved to Moose Jaw and raised their family of eight children, Ken (Carol), Robert (Donna), Rose (Rod), Karen (Tim), Alvin (Donna), Adele (Darrell), Mary (Roy)and Stan (Krista). Together they have 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren. Dad is predeceased by his wife Kay of 63 years in 2018, his parents, brother Dieter, sister-in-law Helga, nephew Michael of Germany, Kay’s mom and dad, four brothers and three sisters. Leave to mourn is his sister Helga, nieces and nephews in Germany, sister-in-law Betty Leskoesk, Anna and Albert Webb and Emy Zyla, nieces and nephews here in Canada. A very special thank you to his nurse Pat for her loving care of him and also us. All the home care ladies that came and took care of him with his baths and everyday care. We could not have of taken care of him at home if not for you. Due to COVID we will be having a graveside celebration of his life at Sunset Cemetery on Friday July 2nd at 10:00am. Friends and Family welcome. In living memory of Heinz, a memorial planting will be made by Jones-Parkview Funeral Services.
