It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Emily Faye Friesen, aged 56 years of Edmonton, AB and formerly of Moose Jaw, SK on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen; and son, Jason. Emily will be lovingly remembered by her father, Rudy Friesen; son, Steven (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaleb and Sofia; sisters: Maxine, Joan and Joanne; brother, Harold (Laura); nieces: Jill, Bobbi, Kelly, Morgan, and Jacqueline; as well as dear friends in Moose Jaw. Emily was born in Moose Jaw and received her training as a Special Care Aide. She started working at St. Anthony’s Home and then Providence Place in Moose Jaw. She later moved to Edmonton where she has resided until her passing. Emily will be remembered as a person with a big heart who loved to look after the needs of others, and cherished her grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Emily’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 - 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
