She loved doing all types of crafts and painting, as well as gardening – especially flowers. Shirley was an avid golfer for many years. The last time she golfed was in the fall of 2021.

She loved her winters spent in Arizona (28 years) and all the friends they met over the years. She enjoyed her trips to New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Ireland, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Panama Canal, the Maritimes, and many other trips to different parts of Canada and the USA with Art by her side. She also loved living at their cabin in Palliser Park.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters: Margaret (Reynold), Irene (Jim), Grace (Elmer), Pearl (Elgin), Lilian (Harvey), and Edith (Al); brothers: Frank (Zelda), Grant, and Ken; nephews: Bob, Roger, and Glen; niece, Linda; sisters and brothers-in-law: Bernice and Dick, and Zilpha and Cliff.
