It was a solid showing for the Moose Jaw Mustangs in South Sask Lacrosse League action on Wednesday evening.

And not just for one team, either -- all four local squads picked up wins, with the 10-and-under Mustangs defeating the Regina Bobcats Blue, 12U Mustangs battling to a 9-8 win over the Swift Current Rampage #2, 14U Mustangs taking a 6-3 win over Swift Current and the 16U Mustangs downing the Rampage 7-3.

The closest game of the bunch was a back-and-forth affair that saw Moose Jaw take a 4-1 lead out of the first period, only to see the Rampage roar back with five goals in the second, taking a 6-5 lead.

That set up an epic battle in the third, ending when Cooper Fulton scored the game winner with 1:32 remaining.

Kysen Mac Angus led Moose Jaw with four goals and six points, while Fulton had two goals and five points. Caiden Arnott, Dace Schaffer and Bentley Messner had their other goals.

The Mustangs improved to 3-3 win the win.

The Rampage scored two goals early in the third to tie things up 3-3, but three unanswered Mustangs markers in the final 7:47 would decide the contest.

Brodyn Pladson scored twice and had a three-point evening, Roman Markin also scored a pair of goals. Nash Williams added a goal and an assist while Ryder Gilroy had their other marker.

Moose Jaw remains undefeated in the 14U league with a 5-0 record.

As much as a late-game goal surge led to a Moose Jaw win for the 14U Mustangs, their older counterparts took it to another level.

After Swift Current scored shorthanded goals 29 seconds apart in the first two minutes of the third to take a 3-2 lead, Moose Jaw scored six straight through the rest of the period for their comfortable-looking win.

Cashton Seaborg had a hat trick for the Mustangs, Josh Johnson, Chase McKee, Mason Williams and Logan Hawley had their other goals. Davin Williams added two assists.

The Mustangs are now 4-1-1 on the SSLL campaign.

No scoring information was available for the 10U Mustangs.
