You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.
Christmas Trade Fair at the Legion
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 59 will host their Christmas Trade Fair this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Philip Heaton Hall. There will be vendors and raffles. Food and drink will be available. Admission is $2.
Photos with Santa
Get your picture with Santa! The Rotary Club of Moose Jaw Wakamow will offer photos with Santa at the Rotary Club’s Gingerbread House (the Christmas tree stand) on the Co-op Marketplace lot. The event will be held on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Free candy canes and hot chocolate will be available.
Briercrest Presents “A Father’s Love”
Looking to get into the Christmas spirit? Why not take in a show? Briercrest Onstage will present “A Father’s Love” at the Landing in Caronport on Saturday at 2:30 and 7 p.m., with a final showing Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available through christmas.briercrest.ca.
Dance Images presents All That Glitters
It will be a fun night out, courtesy of Dance Images! The All That Glitters event will be held at Sahara Spa on Saturday from 7 to 10:30 p.m. There will be cocktails, socializing, appetizers, and more! Get some shopping done early, thanks to a variety of vendors. This come-and-go evening will raise funds for senior dancers at Dance Images so they can travel to a competition. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through Sahara Spa or from any member of the Dance Images troupe.
Art Raffle Gala
The Moose Jaw Museum & Art Gallery will once again host its annual Art Raffle Gala at the MJMAG on Saturday at 7 p.m. You will have the opportunity to take home an original piece of art. There will also be music by Regina’s Brent Pylot as well as food and a cash bar. The event will raise funds for the MJMAG’s programs. Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased at the gallery.
Eagles Cabaret
Rock out this weekend! The Eagles will host a cabaret on Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Eagles hall. The Milkman’s Sons, a popular cover band, will perform. Tickets will be available at the door for $15 each.
Santa Claus Parade
End off the weekend with the annual Santa Claus Parade. The parade will start at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Floats will start at the old Zellers parking lot and will then travel down Main Street. The parade will end at Mosaic Place for the annual lights on ceremony. Cookies and hot chocolate will be available once the parade is over. Bring the whole family and get into the holiday spirit!
