You will find lots of fun activities in Moose Jaw this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

Kimchi Class

Want to expand your culinary skills? You can learn how to make kimchi this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. during a special class at the Wandering Market. You will get valuable, hands-on experience. The cost is $25 and you will be able to take home two jars of kimchi.

Northern Fallout Album Release

Local metal band Northern Fallout will be releasing their debut album this weekend. The band will be playing Chillers on Saturday night. They will share the stage alongside SaintVicious and Sing the Body Electric. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9. Admission is $10. Physical copies of the disc will be available while supplies last. It’s going to get loud!

Archery Provincials

Archers from across the province will converge on YaraCentre this weekend for the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) provincial tournament. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday. Local competitors will be part of the mix, so be sure to stop by and cheer them on. Please note the walking track will be closed this weekend to accommodate the competition.

Films for Friends

Looking for something to do on Sunday afternoon the whole family will love? Stop by the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre (335 Fourth Ave. S.W.) for Films with Friends! This weekend’s film will be The Incredibles 2. Admission is just $5 and comes with popcorn. All proceeds will go to Free to Be Me Animal Sanctuary. The event starts at 1 p.m.

Community Conversation

On Sunday at 1 p.m. the Moose Jaw YMCA will host a community conversation. This is just one of many such events taking place across this province. These events have been funded through microgrants provided by the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation. A similar event was hosted by the City of Moose Jaw earlier this month. Join the conversation and have your voice heard!
