You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

Winter GAX

Hundreds of gamers will converge on the Cultural Centre this weekend for the annual Winter GAX weekend. Gamers will play board games, card games, video games, and tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. The action runs from 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. There will be tournaments to participate in and prizes to be won. It is sure to be a fun-filled weekend. Proceeds will support the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank’s Mighty Munchies program. Wrestling Championships

Two wrestling tournaments will be held over the course of two days. First, the high school South Saskatchewan Wrestling Championships will be held at Peacock Collegiate on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. Then, on Sunday, the freshie to juvenile tournament will be held at Peacock on Sunday, once again starting at 9 a.m. Stop by to cheer on the students!

Heritage Day

Celebrate our heritage this weekend at the Western Development Museum. The WDM will host its annual Heritage Day on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. The museum will partner up with local community groups to celebrate the heritage of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and Canada. There will be short films form the NFB, activities, crafts, and demonstrations. It promises to be a fun day for the whole family! Regular admission applies. Free for WDM members.

Gravelbourg Cares Family Supper and Dance

Head to Gravelbourg this weekend for a special fundraiser. The event will be held Saturday at the Parish Hall on First Avenue. Cocktails will begin at 5 p.m., followed by supper from 5:30 to 7:30. A dance will follow, with music by SCOTT2 and the Chums. Seating is limited. The prices is $25 for adults, $60 for a family pass, and $15 for the dance only. Kids five and under are free. Mortlach Winter Social & Charity Auction

The Mortlach Museum and Recreation Board will host a fundraising event this Saturday. The event will kick off with a bingo at 6:30 p.m., to be followed by a social and a charity auction. Funds will support the upkeep of the museum and rink buildings. The event will be held at the Mortlach Memorial Hall. It is suitable for all ages and is free to attend.

Warriors vs. Blades

Game on! Your Moose Jaw Warriors will host the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday. This will be the team’s Hall of Fame game, following the Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Feb. 7. Inductees Chris Armstrong, Harlan Anderson, and Lorne Humphreys will be honoured during a pre-game ceremony. The puck drops at Mosaic Place at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through the Mosaic Place box office.

Town and Country Singles Dance

It will be another great night of dancing! The Town and Country Singles Dance will be held on Saturday from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Church of Our Lady Community Centre. Married couples are welcome! The cost is $15 and that includes a lunch. Call 306-691-6634 for more information.

Briercrest Faculty Concert

Briercrest Onstage will host its annual Faculty Concert this Sunday at St. Aidan Church, beginning at 7 p.m. Faculty members will perform a wide variety of songs. Admission is by donation of a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank.
