You will find lots of fun activities in and around Moose Jaw and area this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

LVLUP 2020

Students can get their game on this weekend! The second LVLUP event will be held at Riverview Collegiate on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This is an all-day gaming convention for high school students. There will be workshops, vendors, cosplay, D&D, Magic the Gathering, VR, and more. A Smash Bros. Tournament will be take place at 2:30 p.m. The cost is free.  You can register online.

Aboriginal Storytelling Month/Winterfest

February is Aboriginal Storytelling Month. This Saturday at 10 a.m. you can head to the Moose Jaw Public Library for a live storytelling from Joseph Naytowhow. Then, follow that up by heading to the Skating Oval in Wakamow for a special ’13 Moons’ Winterfest event! Presented by the Wakamow Aboriginal Community Association, there will be soup, bannock, hot chocolate, games, and stories. It promises to be a fun day for the whole family! Film Screening at MJPL

They’re creepy and they’re kooky, mysterious and spooky! It’s the Addams Family! The TV classic was recently adapted into a new animated film, which will be screened at the Moose Jaw Public Library on Saturday, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The film stars the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, and Snoop Dogg. All ages are welcome. There is not cost to attend and no registration is required. The film is rated PG.

Pasta Supper

Enjoy a night out and a good meal. A pasta supper will be presented by the youth group at First Free Methodist Church on Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a strawberry spinach salad and create your own pasta entrée. Includes dessert.  Admission is by donation to help cover costs. To register, call 306-693-3993.

Be Yourself Bowling Night

Moose Jaw Pride is inviting everyone to South Hill Bowling Centre this Saturday for a fun night out. The Be Yourself Bowling event is suitable for all ages. It will take place on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. The cost is free/by donation. Enjoy a non-judgemental atmosphere and a great night of socializing and bowling!

Sadie Hawkins Dance

The Moose Jaw Transplant Trot will be hosting a Sadie Hawkins Dance this Saturday at the Church of Our Lady Hall. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and there will be a quick dance lesson. The dance itself will run from 8 p.m. to midnight. The Bromantics will perform. A cash bar will be available and a light lunch will be served at 10 p.m. Tickets are $45 each. Funday Sunday

The Moose Jaw Gamers Association invites everyone out to a fun afternoon of gaming. The Funday Sunday event will be held on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Taco Time. Come out to play a game or two!
