You will find lots of fun activities in Moose Jaw this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

Prairie Hearts Quilt Show

The Prairie Hearts Quilters Guild will host a quilt show at the Exhibition Grounds this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Quilters from across the prairies will participate. Admission is $10 at the door.

Fair Trade Festival

Looking for something unique? Stop by Central Lutheran Church for the final day of its Fair Trade Festival, which will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Merchandise will be provided by Ten Thousand Villages. Funds will support Hunger in Moose Jaw. Admission is free. There is sure to be something for everyone!

Ages and Stages

Learn all about your child’s development. This free drop-in event will be held at the Early Years Family Resource Centre (679 Hall Street West) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Saskatchewan Science Centre will be on hand to have some fun and refreshments will be served. 

Wakamow Spring Home and Garden Show

Wakamow Valley Authority will host its annual Spring Home and Garden Show at the Sportsman Centre on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be plenty of vendors, a penny parade, door prize draw, and a concession. Admission is $3.

Legion Spring Trade Fair

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 59 will host its 2019 Spring Trade Fair on Saturday in the Legion auditorium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $2. A penny parade will be available, along with food and drinks. You can expect to find a wide variety of vendors, so be sure to stop by!

Mother’s Day Trade Show

Still looking for a gift for mom? Westmount School’s Generosity Club will host a Mother’s Day Trade Show on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors include Epicure, Norwex, Scentsy, Arbonne, and so much more! There is no admission charge but they are asking for donations to the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank.

May the Fourth Be With You!

Looking to celebrate Star Wars? Consider stopping by the Moose Jaw Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. The children’s department will host a series of challenges that will help you train to become a Jedi. This free drop-in event is appropriate for ages 2-12. Parents must accompany their children.

Volunteer Fair

Want to learn how you can give back to the community? Visit the Western Development Museum on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. to take part in the Volunteer Fair. The idea is to bring the city’s non-profit groups to one location so volunteers can find the organizations that meets their needs and interests. The event is presented by the WDM, the City of Moose Jaw, Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work, and the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council. 

Spring Sing concert

The Moose Jaw Community Choir will host its first ever public performance on Saturday at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church. They will be joined onstage by the Assiniboia Community Choir. Expect a great evening of music! Admission is $10 at the door. Kids 12 and under get in for free.

John Denver Tribute Concert

You will be singing along as Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon present their tribute to John Denver. The show will be held at the Cultural Centre on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. You can expect to hear all your favourite John Denver classics! Tickets are $40 for adults, $35 for seniors, and $30 for students. Knights of Columbus Roast Beef Supper

The Knights of Columbus Council #9760 will present their annual spring roast beef supper at Church of Our Lady Community Centre on Sunday. There will be one seating at 5 p.m. Tickets are available from the church office at 306-692-2950. Adult tickets are $15 and tickets for kids from 6 to 12 are just $8. Children under six are free.
