You will find lots of fun activities in Moose Jaw this weekend. The following list highlights some events you won’t want to miss out on.

Spring Break Short Films

The Western Development Museum will be showcasing a selection of new and classic animated short films from the National Film Board. These films will run daily on a loop. Films will appeal to all ages. There will also be scavenger hunts for visitors to take part in. The event will run all day Saturday and Sunday. Regular museum admission applies. It is free for WDM members.

Slo-Pitch for Autism

Several teams with hit the field at YaraCentre this weekend to compete in a charity slo-pitch tournament. Proceeds from the event will support autism research. The event will run Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Be sure to stop by and cheer on your favourite team!

Three Cheers for Recycling

The Moose Jaw Public Library will celebrate Earth Day this Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Celebrate Earth Day program will include games and crafts that will teach kids about the environment. This activity is for kids between the ages of 2 and 12. Parents are requested to remain in the public space with their children. It is a free, drop-in event.

Easter Fun at the Mall

Families will want to stop by the Town ‘n’ Country Mall on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a special Easter-themed event. Kids will be able to hunt for the TNC Easter Bunny that will be hidden somewhere in the mall. You can also enter to win an Easter basket. Stop by the craft table set up in Centre Court for a map with clues to assist you in your search. For every TNC Easter Bunny you find, you will receive a ballot to enter the contest. Finally, there will also be three crafts to work on and Easter colouring pages available. It will surely be a fun-filled afternoon!

Cat Café and Easter Egg Hunt

SCRAPS and Moose Jaw Families for Change will team up this weekend to once again offer their popular Cat Café! Guests will get to meet and interact with the organization's cats and kittens. There will also be delicious cat-themed shortbread cookies, courtesy of Maple Leaf Bakery. There will even be an Easter Egg hunt. There will be three sessions on Saturday for the Cat Café: from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m., from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., and from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, with all proceeds going to SCRAPS.

Easter Egg Hunt at the Sportsplex

Stop by the Kinsmen Sportsplex this Sunday for an Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 4 p.m. Public swims will also be offered. Contact the Sportsplex at 306-694-4483 for more information.
