SASKATOON -- The Saskatoon Berries and Moose Jaw Miller Express will have to wait one more day to decide their Western Canadian Baseball League East Division semifinal series.
With rain expected throughout the evening in Saskatoon, the decision was made Friday afternoon to postpone Game 3 of their best-of-three series.
As a result, that contest will now take place on Saturday at the NexGen Patch, with first pitch at 7 p.m. All tickets for Friday’s game will be honoured Saturday.
The Miller Express won Game 1 of the series 6-4 on Wednesday in Saskatoon, with the Berries claiming Game 2 15-6 in Moose Jaw on Thursday.
The winner of Saturday’s contest will advance to face the Regina Red Sox in the East Division Final.
