Warriors' Bilous named WHL's Goaltender of the Week

The strong play of Boston Bilous is garnering attention.

The Western Hockey League (WHL) announced today that goaltender Boston Bilous of the Moose Jaw Warriors has been named WHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending March 14, 2021. 
 
Bilous, 20, posted a 1.90 goals-against average and .920 save percentage in two games, stopping 46 of 50 shots. He has helped the Warriors start the season with a perfect 2-0-0-0 start, after picking up a 4-3 overtime win against Brandon on Mar. 12 and a 2-1 shootout victory over Prince Albert on Mar. 14.

Bilous was originally selected by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the fourth round (80th overall) of the 2016 WHL Draft. He has played in 86 career WHL regular season games, posting a record of 27-35-6-2 with a 3.45 GAA, .875 SV% and three shutouts.

Defenceman Cole Clayton of the Medicine Hat Tigers was named the WHL Player of the Week. He scored four goals and three assists for seven points in three games last week.

The next game for the Warriors will be against the Regina Pats on Tuesday, Mar. 16.
