MOOSE JAW — The City of Moose Jaw announces the Street Sign Replacement and Improvement Program is expected to be completed ahead of schedule, due in part to funding provided by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency’s Civic Address Registry (CAR) Signage Incentive Project.
Through the CAR Signage Incentive Project, the City has received approximately $15,000 worth of funding to allow for the replacement of 333 street ID signs. These signs are being installed by Operations Department staff and will enhance navigation for residents and visitors to the city, as well as emergency services.
In addition to street ID sign replacement funded by the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, approximately 200 further signs have been installed by the city this year.
Once all installations are complete, this will mark the end the City’s Street Sign Replacement and Improvement Program, which sought to address intersections without street ID signs. The program was initiated in 2021 and was initially projected to take eight years.
Following completion of this program in early August, the City will continue to monitor street ID signs that need replacement to maintain clear and effective navigation.
