Here's a summary of the draw results from the Scotties Tournament of Hearts on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

Afternoon draws:

Robyn Silvernagle and Team Saskatchewan went into the afternoon hoping to see a win against Ontario’s Rachel Homan for a shot at the page playoffs, but it wasn’t meant to be. Homan took the scoreboard with a 9-4 decision, leaving Saskatchewan’s playoff dreams on the ice for this year.

With Team Manitoba’s Kerri EInarson facing Team Wild Card’s Jennifer Jones, it was another Manitoba showdown, with Jones emerging victorious with a 12-7 win. 

Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville landed a 6-5 win over Prince Edward Island’s Suzanne Birt in the afternoon draw, sending Einarson and her team into the page playoffs.

Chelsea Carey and Team Canada also saw a loss this afternoon that has them heading home from their Scotties today, after a 9-2 loss to British Columbia’s Corryn Brown.

Evening draws:

Although Team Saskatchewan already knew they weren’t heading into the playoff draws on Friday, they still gave their final game against British Columbia their best go and came out with a 7-6 win.

Northern Ontario managed an 11-6 win over Team Wild Card, while Ontario fell to Manitoba with a final tally of 9-6.

Canada also finished the day with a win, closing their draw against Prince Edward Island with a score of 5-3. 

This means that Ontario’s Rachel Homan will face off against Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville in the 3-4 playoff game on Saturday afternoon, and Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson will face Team Wild Card’s Jennifer Jones in the page playoff 1-2 game in the evening. 

The winner of the 1-2 game will head directly to the gold medal game on Sunday, while the loser will face off against the winner of the 3-4 game in the semi-final.
