Saskatchewan is reporting only one new confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 301 with 110 active cases. The new case has been reported from the north region of the province.
One less person is in hospital care at this time, with seven patients recovering in inpatient care. None are in intensive care.
Nine more cases have also recovered, for a total of 187 recoveries province-wide. No new deaths have occurred since April 11, which is when the fourth fatality was reported.
Of the 301 cases in the province, 131 are travel-related, 121 are community or household transmission related, 27 have no known exposures, and 22 are still under investigation by Public Health.
There have been 34 cases reported in healthcare workers, which public health can’t confirm if the source of the infection was related to a health care situation, and 19 of those cases have now recovered.
Saskatoon has 147 cases, while Regina has 65 cases, the northern parts of the province have 64 cases, the central region has 10 cases, and the south region has 15 cases.
The province has also processed over 20,000 COVID-19 tests in the province.
