Police arrest man accused of pointing firearm at cab driver

Police have charged a 24-year-old man from Maple Creek with robbery, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and several breaches of court orders

The Moose Jaw Police Service has arrested a Maple Creek man accused of pointing a firearm at a taxicab driver.

The police responded to a complaint on the 1700 block of Main Street North on June 17 at 6:55 p.m. for a report of a man threatening a cab driver with a firearm, but were unable to locate the accused in the area, a news release said. After further investigation, police identified an adult man as a suspect and, with the help from RCMP, arrested the man without incident in Herbert, Sask.
