Passing lanes on Highway 2 north of Moose Jaw will open next week.
“Highway 2 north of Moose Jaw is a busy highway and the new passing lanes will improve traffic flow and safety,” Highways and Infrastructure Minister Lori Carr said in a press release. “Please be patient when driving, and use the new lanes to pass slower traffic safely.”
According to a government press release, passing lanes can reduce collisions by 25 per cent at 80 per cent less cost than that of a fully twinned highway.
Of course, don't forget to slow down to 60 km/h when passing through a construction zone.
