One new case of COVID-19, six more recoveries

There is just one new case of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan today.  

The new case is in the Regina region.

Despite the new case, the provincial total remains at 646 reported cases. That is because a sample previoulsy reported as a positive case on May 27 was retested and found to be negative. The negative result was confirmed by a second sample.
 
There are 47 active cases in the province.  

Six more people have recovered, bringing the provincial total to 588.
 
There are currently four people in hospital, including two in intensive care in Saskatoon.
 
Of the 646 cases in the province:

  • 142 cases are travellers;
  • 382 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
  • 76 have no known exposures; and
  • 46 are under investigation by local public health.

On a regional level, 256 of the cases are from the Far North, 169 are from the Saskatoon area, 112 from the North, 80 from the Regina area, 17 from the South, and 12 from the Central region.

Eleven deaths have been reported to date.
 
A total of 48,272 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.
