K9 unit captures suspect who allegedly fled a stolen vehicle

According to their K9 Unit Twitter Account the Moose Jaw Police Service were able to capture a suspect after they allegedly ran and were hiding in a backyard.

Details are sketchy but the Moose Jaw K9 unit apparently had a busy and productive night while most of you were sleeping.

According to their Twitter feed, the Moose Jaw Police Service’s K9 unit was instrumental in apprehending a suspect who allegedly made a run for it from a stolen vehicle.

“1 (One) ran from a stolen vehicle and only wound up getting caught cold and tired hiding in a backyard. 1 (One) in custody thanks to PSD True,” the Twitter account MJPS K9 tweeted at approximately 5 a.m.

PSD or Police Service Dog True is one of four canine members of the MJPS.

PSD True is partnered with Const. Aaron Woods and they entered basic training to work together in March 2019.

No further details are available about the incident at publication time.
