2) The Canadian Armed Forces will press ahead with the forced expulsion of dozens of unvaccinated troops despite a new order from defence chief ending the military’s blanket COVID-19 vaccine requirement.

3) Police in Germany say they have detained a man for resisting arrest and biting a service dog.

4) Canada's biggest oilsands companies say they will spend $16.5 billion before 2030 on a massive proposed carbon capture and storage plant that is the centrepiece of their net-zero-by-2050 pledge.

5)  An explosion inside a coal mine in northern Turkey has trapped dozens of miners, while at least 14 others were rescued or were able to exit the workings themselves.
