COVID-19 outbreak declared at Moose Jaw counselling centre

Public health has issued a notice of a COVID-19 outbreak at the Ranch Ehrlo Society in Moose Jaw, declared on Feb. 15.

According to public health, an outbreak is confirmed when two or more individuals who are linked to a public setting or event test positive for COVID-19. 

This is the second outbreak in the city in the month of February, with another outbreak recently declared at Viterra’s administrative office also on Feb. 15

There are currently four active outbreaks in Moose Jaw, with outbreaks at the medical office of Dr. Fauzi Ramadan declared on Jan. 25 and at Xpert Rail Consulting on Jan. 31 still listed as active.

Contact tracers will be in contact with anyone who may have been exposed in relation to the outbreak. 

Public health reminds residents to continue to practice the recommended safety measures and contact HealthLine 811 if COVID-19 symptoms appear.
