Council approves 2022 schedule for roles of deputy mayor and committee chairpersons

Council unanimously approved the schedule during their Nov. 22 regular meeting. Each member will serve in one of the three roles for two months at a time.

Moose Jaw’s city councillors now know the roles they will fill in 2022 after approving a schedule that indicates when they will serve as deputy mayor and committee chairperson. 

Council unanimously approved the schedule during their Nov. 22 regular meeting. Each member will serve in one of the three roles for two months at a time.

From Jan. 1 to Feb. 28, Coun. Crystal Froese will serve as deputy mayor, Coun. Heather Eby will act as chairwoman of the executive committee and Coun. Dawn Luhning will serve as chairwoman of the personnel committee.

From March 1 to April 30, Eby will act as deputy chair, Luhning will act as chairwoman of the executive committee and Coun. Kim Robinson will act as chairman of the personnel committee.

From May 1 to June 30, Luhning will serve as deputy mayor, Robinson will act as chairman of the executive committee and Coun. Doug Blanc will serve as chairman of the personnel committee.

From July 1 to Aug. 31, Robinson will act as deputy mayor, Blanc will serve as chairman of the executive committee and Coun. Jamey Logan will act as chairman of the personnel committee.

From Sept. 1 to Oct. 31, Blanc will serve as deputy mayor, Logan will act as chairman of the executive committee and Froese will serve as chairwoman of the personnel committee.

From Nov. 1 to Dec. 31, Logan will act as deputy mayor, Froese will serve as chairwoman of the executive committee and Eby will act as chairwoman of the personnel committee.

The next regular city council meeting is Monday, Dec. 6.
