The construction sector in Moose Jaw is off to a slow start.
Building permit values for Moose Jaw for the first two months of 2023 are just over $900,000
Last year permits at this point were $2.45 million.
Only six permits worth $115,000 were issued during February, with $56,000 for office alterations at the former Moose Jaw Times-Herald building at 44 Fairford Street West and $80,000 for an outdoor recreational building at 30 Thatcher Drive East.
No new houses have received permits this year while last year three permits worth $1.06 million had been issued.
