The City of Moose Jaw is watching out for how melting snow will affect streets and outdoor facilities.

This means that city crews have been busy clearing plugged catch basins. Citizens should report any catch basins that need attention. To do so, please call the engineering department at 306-694-4448.

Of course, melting snow means that local rinks will also be feeling the heat. The parks and recreation department is therefore busy inspecting outdoor rinks to ensure they are still safe to use. If a rink is no longer usable, crews will turn off the lights and remove nets.

As of March 12, the West Heath and Regal Heights outdoor rinks have been shut down for the season.

If you have any questions regarding outdoor rink conditions, please call parks and recreation at 306-694-4447.
