The Moose Jaw Canucks have had little difficulty putting up runs through the first part of the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League 15-and-under AAA season.

Wednesday night was no exception, as the Canucks hit double digits for the third-straight game on their way to an 11-6 victory at the newly refurbished Blackwell Diamond.

The Canucks wasted little time getting things going, answering a three-spot by the Broncos in the top of the first with three of their own and building a 7-4 lead through the first two innings.

White Butte got one back in the third, but another four-run frame in the fourth would prove to be all the offence Moose Jaw would need.

Noah Thul continued his fast start to the season, with a three-run home run providing the key hit in the fourth inning, He’d finish the game 2-for-3 with a double and five runs batted in.

Gerritt Gulutzan also had another solid day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI, while Kale Pratte crossed the plate three times on a pair of hits. Max Simmons was 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Owen Csada got the start and allowed four runs on three hits over two innings before giving way to Spencer Craig, who surrendered a pair of runs on four hits over the next four innings. Cam Beisal closed things out with three strikeouts in the final frame.

The Canucks had 11 hits on the night and committed three errors, White Butte had seven hits and a single miscue in the field.

Moose Jaw is back in action this weekend with a busy slate of road games, including a doubleheader Saturday against the Saskatoon Astros and twinbill Sunday against the Humboldt Dodgers.

Next home action is Thursday, June 9 against the Regina White Sox.
