With so many Moose Jaw teams pulling off upsets as the Baseball Regina playoffs reach their final stages, the 11-and-under AAA Canucks were looking to be on the other side of the coin on Friday night.

After putting together a 13-7-0 record through the regular season, the third-place Canucks were the favourites heading into their quarter-final battle with the Regina Blue Jays at Lyle Helland Ball Diamond. And sure enough, they’d get the job done, rolling to an 11-4 victory.

Dillon Flanagan and Burke Bechard each scored two runs for Moose Jaw, who were simply consistent at the plate throughout the game, scoring at least a pair of runs in every inning after the first, including three-spots in the second and fourth.

Riley Ducharme reached base three times and crossed the plate once, while Drayson Silbernagel homered in one of his three trips to the plate.

Zaid Guillaume, Flanagan and Jackson Boyle all saw action on the mound.

The Canucks are right back in action Saturday afternoon when they travel to Regina to face the 14-5-2 Regina Expos in the league semifinal. The winner of that contest will advance to the Baseball Regina championship game on Sunday afternoon.
