Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant planned outage on July 23

The Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant will be shut down to accommodate construction. The plant is expected to resume production by 7 p.m. July 23.

MOOSE JAW — The City of Moose Jaw, on behalf of the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant (BPWTP), is advising residents of a planned production outage on July 23.

The outage is tentatively scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 23, at 7 a.m., and is expected to last 12 hours. This planned outage is required for BPWTP to continue ongoing construction at their facility. Capacity in  city of Moose Jaw reservoirs will allow water service to residents to continue uninterrupted.

Additionally, the  city’s water and wastewater staff will continuously monitor reservoir water levels during this planned outage and the  city will update residents if there are any changes to this project.

The BPWTP will resume production on July 23 at 7 p.m.
