The provincial total of COVID-19 cases has reached 304, with three new cases announced today. The number of active cases has now dropped under 100, with 95 cases considered active by public health.
The province is also showing another 18 recoveries from the virus, for a provincial total of 205.
Eight people remain in hospital due to COVID-19. None are in intensive care at this time. No new deaths have occurred since April 11, which is when the fourth fatality was reported.
Of the 304 cases in the province, 131 are travel-related, 122 are community or household transmission related, 30 have no known exposures, and 21 are still under investigation by Public Health.
None of the new cases are being reported as health care workers, as the number of cases connected to health care workers remains at 34.
Saskatoon has not seen any new cases in several days, remaining at 147 cases at this time. The south and central areas of the province also have not seen an increase in cases since April 5, remaining at 15 cases and 10 cases respectively.
Regina now has 67 cases, and the northern parts of the province have 65 cases.
Public health is urging businesses that remain open to take proper safety precautions not only with customers but also with staff during this time, meaning maintaining appropriate social distancing and continuing to sanitize and wash hands frequently.
