The 16th edition of the Family First Radiothon, held at the Town ‘N Country Mall, raised $159,914 — well in excess of their goal of $138,000 — for the Moose Jaw Health Foundation. The funds will support the Pediatric's and Women’s Health units at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital.
Massive donations poured in over the Radiothon weekend. The Moose Jaw Health Foundation has raised tens of millions over its lifespan to buy critical equipment for Moose Jaw’s hospital, forming a major part of the state-of-the-art care able to be offered there.
This year’s Little Princess Ball contributed $43,860.35 to the effort.
The next major fundraiser event for the Health Foundation is the annual Festival of Trees held at the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre.
The Festival of Trees will take place November 26. Tickets go on sale September 26.
