141 new COVID-19 cases, 146 recoveries

There are 141 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Feb. 28, 2021.

The new cases are located in the Saskatoon (38), Regina (19), North West (17), Far North West (16), Far North East (14), North Central (13), Central East (8), South Central (8), North East (3), Central West (2), Far North Central (1), and South East (1) zones.

All eight of the new cases in the South Central are located in the South Central 2 sub-zone, which includes Moose Jaw and area.

One case has pending residence information.  

Three previously reported cases with pending residence information were assigned to the North West (1), North Central (1) and Regina (1) zones.

There are now 28,647 reported cases, including 1,543 active cases.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 146 (11.9 new cases per 100,000).

There are no new deaths to report today. The provincial total remains at 385.

There were 1,662 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 78,226.

The 1,662 doses were administered in the South East (656), North West (314), Far North East (218), North Central (214), Central East (112), Central West (102), Regina (24), and Far North Central (22) zones. Data has been updated to include an additional 936 doses administered in the South East zone, 49 in the Central West, and 78 in the Central East on Feb. 26.

One hundred and fifty-four people are in hospital. One hundred and thirty-five people are receiving inpatient care in the following zones: Saskatoon (50), Regina (37), North Central (14), North West (12), Central East (7), Far North West (4), South East (4), South Central (3), Far North East (2), North East (1), and Central West (1). Nineteen people are in intensive care in the following zones: Saskatoon (11), Regina (7), and North West (1),

One hundred and forty-six more people have recovered, increasing the provincial total to 26,719 recoveries.

There were 2,285 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on Feb. 27. To date, 576,325 COVID-19 tests have been processed.
