There are 13 new cases of COVID-19 to report, as of July 17.
The new cases are located in the following regions:
- Far North, one;
- North, one;
- Central, eight;
- South, one; and
- Regina two.
There are now 936 reported cases. There are 128 active cases, including 49 active cases in the South.
A total of 793 people have recovered. That number is one less than yesterday, as three cases in the Central region have been removed and reactivated. The Saskatchewan Health Authority says this can happen if public health determind an individual has relapsed or developed additional symptoms. There are two recoveries to report today.
Twelve people are in hospital, with 11 individuals receiving inpatient care, including seven in Saskatoon, two in the South, one in the North, and one in the Central region. One person is in intensive care in the South.
Of the 936 cases in the province:
- 182 cases are travellers;
- 514 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
- 155 have no known exposures; and
- 85 are under investigation by local public health.
On a regional level, 340 of the cases are from the Far North, 204 are from the Saskatoon area, 122 from the North, 116 from the South, 87 from the Regina area, and 67 from the Central region.
Fifteen deaths have been reported to date.
A total of 78,990 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
